Service Plan

So, if we're already on a service plan with AT&T, but are out of contract, are we eligible for this deal? Or can we only upgrade via AT&T at their pricing?

I bought a Palm Pre last night at the $100 price. I have an AT&T account out of contract and was able to purchase at the reduced price so I imagine you can at the new price unless the new price comes with a new deal. You can go through the purchase process and bail if you don't like it because there is a final approval decision after everything is set up.

Darn not waiting one more night!!! I could've saved another $50.

It's OK. I paid the full $150. Love it so far, but have been to busy to get everything x-ferred from the 680. Slider and KB are great. Don't like that they took away the color coded numbers tho. What an amazing device IMO.

Everyone keeps screaming dated hardware. My two teen boys are green with envy compared to their iPhone and Touch. Fits in hand beautifully yet still has a decent sized screen. That being said, Palm really needs a super-phone sized device to showcase the beautiful WebOS. A few ads without the queen of creep might help too.

So Pat, can you give us a mini-review. I think it would be great to hear from a long time Palm user, tell us what you think of the pros and cons for switching.

I think the Pre Plus will be my next phone as soon as my contract expires. The iphone I have is great, but the walled garden experience wears a bit thin...

If anyone has tried Chapura's Pocket Mirror for Pre, it would be good to see a mini-review.
