Palm & Verizon

The VZW website has some knowledge of both the Pre & Pixi now. Neither phone shows up, however the support to indicate compatibility with accessories seems to be in place.

The below link is for bluetooth headphone where "Your Phone" is set to phone ID "5129". Click details and it specifies "your phone" as the Palm Pre Plus. change the phone ID in the URL to "5130" and you get the Palm Pixi Plus.

AT&T is losing their iPhone exclusivity this year - so now they're throwing everything against the wall - webos, android, etc.

Good luck for them...

What I'm getting from this is the strong emphasis on data-using phones.

Commodityville, next stop is Commodityville!

So AT&T is going to support two EOLed Palm devices (since Verizon has the exclusive) - that'll work!

Strangely, Palm didn;t even mention AT&T and, I think, AT&T didn't mention Palm in their PR-fluff.

How weird.

SV,

Engadget reported ATT saying "2 Palm devices" and moving on. Hopefully they were referring to the Dixie (Pixie with 320x 480) and the Post (Pre with 4" OLED VGA + 1ghz snappy, 5mpx cam + vid recorder, SDMicro, Voice recording, Enhanced PIMs, 1800mah cell, and titanium shell)!

I can dream. It's a new year. :-D
