New Palm Device Launch This Week?
Rumor: TechCrunch is reporting today that they have received a tip that the device code-nammed Palm Pixie/Castle/Eos could be launched as soon as this week. According to the site, the new device launch is set to coincide with Fashion Week held Sept 10-17th in New York City, where Palm is listed as a sponsor.
The Palm Eos has been in the rumor mill for some time now. Previous leaks have shown its specs and details from AT&T slides citing a launch date of the second half of 2009.
Rumors have also recently picked up about new Palm product codes appearing in various inventory systems. While yet another source reported recently that Palm has placed an order for 500,000 or so GSM/UMTS devices from a manufacturer in China.

Eventually they will try to come up ahead of the competition...
Anyway, this devices are said to come with 8gb of internal storage.
For me, that's more than enough...
Gestures?
RE: Gestures?
At this point, I'll just be happy for them to finally release a freaking GSM webOS device. Pre, Eos, whatever, just give me a damn unlocked 3G GSM Palm!

freakout - be careful what you wish for.
DR - the Pre navigation AND "trackball" mode is clumsy, inaccurate, and just plain awful. the copy/paste is sad at best.
RE: Gestures?
your warning has been noted, however. plus, you'll get to say "I told you so" if I hate it. :P
