New Centro Colors Pictured

Centro LimeFollowing up on yesterday's news item on the possible upcoming availability of two new Sprint Centro colors, some official looking press shots have emerged of both new offerings courtesy of the SprintUsers forum. The high-quality leaked images show the green to be a rather muted, almost "wasabi" or "pistachio" in appearance. The rose-colored Palm Centro definitely has a unique look in comparison to the older pink Centro, with a much darker appearance. Read on for the full sized shots.

No word if there might be any additional software-related changes to accompany the new Treos but it's fairly safe to assume that purchasers of these new colors will likely receive the latest ROM version with the recent Sprint update pre-installed along with standard Google Maps My Location functionality.

Not long ago someone here jokingly posted all the Crayola colors as a response to what Palm's secret plan may be: seems like he/she was more right than any of us imagined.

Palm Vx (a classic) -> Palm 505 (*yawn*) -> Dell Axim (slooow...) -> Palm TE (great) -> Qtek 9090 (great idea, lousy platform) -> Nokia 6630 (a toy) -> iMate SP3i (not bad) -> Nokia 9300 (can't sync notes!!) -> Treo 650 (awesome) -> hw6915 (almost perfect) -> Nokia E51 (un/impressive) -> Touch Enhanced (nice!) -> Samsung 780 (mousepad woes)

Spurred by this thread, I was just looking at the Crayola crayon name history here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Crayola_crayon_colors - I must have had old crayons when I was a kid, because my sets definitely still had a "flesh" colored crayon in them...

Best crayon color names:
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Super Happy

Looking forward to the super happy Centro and the macaroni and cheese Centro :)

My daughter at the ripe old age of 9.99 years, who asked TODAY "When are you getting me a cell phone?", would probably love it.
