More Verizon Treo 755p Details

Coming on the heels of the recent arrival of the Treo 755p onto Alltel’s CDMA network, Engadget Mobile has posted more proof of an imminent Treo 755p release on Verizon Wireless. Alongside three the upcoming Verizon smartphones (all Windows Mobile-based), what appear to be screen captures from an internal training program slideshow. This further substantiates the PIC report from last week and solidifies the long rumored November release date.

Verizon Treo 755pMuch like the Alltel version, the standard blue 755p color scheme is the sole offering for Verizon users, who will be rejoicing over the fact that the 755p has managed to finally see the light of day. Much like the different ROM versions between the Verizon and Sprint 700p in 2006, the Verizon 755p appears to be rather bare-bones as far as carrier-provided software bundles, with only Verizon’s VZE E-mail in ROM. No word if VersaMail will be in ROM like Sprint’s version or loaded into RAM from the bundled software CD. Based on the preliminary information offered in the leaked screen caps, the device’s specs are totally identical to the Sprint version.

In addition to the EngadgetMobile report, several TreoCentral forum members have reported that the newest Verizon mail-in rebate forms indicate a $50 MIR for the unreleased 755p and a huge $150 MIR for the 700p.

Verizon Wireless 755P

Will Verizon's V-Cast content be supported on the 755p? When I bought my 700P they said it would take a couple of months, however it's been nearly 2 years and nothing.

I have been waiting for this phone to replace my 650 which is battered and bruised. I played with a friend's iPhone this weekend and went out and bought one. Sorry Palm, you snooze you loose. I'll miss Verizon but I can't bring myself to buy a new phone that is the same as my old phone with (faster internet aside).

I am about to give up too. I use mac love mac. But, no DUN to use with my laptop. This is not good. Are you happy with iphone? Is AT&T good phone service. These are my concerns.

Tired of waiting for Verizon!
