Palm shouldn't even need retail stores. At one time they used to be in almost every other electronics and office store, even Target. They have been declining ever since. Making a specialized store has no advantage.
This isn't like the Apple stores where the stores offer more opportunities for better knowledge and a wider selection of peripherals that aren't available elsewhere.

Are you being sarcastic? Those idiots are dumb, lazy, rude, useless, and know way less about Palms than most of the PIC faithful.

RE: Any good?
I posted the article. The store is fairly small (so it's not an Apple Store) and it has the Palm logo all over it (one cannot see inside yet). I think this is an attempt to create a bit of a buzz for their devices by taking a high-traffic area that offers them a chance to promote sales of their devices in ways the cellular phone companies don't and cannot. It is anyone's guess as to whether or not they'll actually make money through the store.
Nintendo World is over by 10 Rock just off 48th Street on the corner between Rockefeller Plaza and 48th. The Palm Store is just off 6th Avenue and has an entrance on 50th Street, as well as the interior of 30 Rock on the north side of the building. Their presence there seems to be all about image marketing, not so much sales (because retail space there is frightfully expensive).
Gods don't kill people, people with gods kill people.
