In out next video segment from CTIA, we take a look at a couple of third party WebOS apps being demo'd on the Palm Pre. In this five minute clip we first checkout Fandango, a movie and theatre ticket application. It allows you to browse what's playing in your local area, purchase tickets on the device and also watch streaming movie trailers. We also take another look at Pandora, this time with a focus on its multitasking capabilities with background operation and track notifications. Finally, the Sprint TV application is shown and we throw in a look at the Pre's unlock and standby screen functionality at the end.

RE: Four apps, huh?
webos doesn't look too bad, but it seems awfully sluggish considering the cpu is the pre is allegedly much faster than the one in the iphone.

No, just "old". So I thought maybe it was my old eyes playing tricks on me. I mean, based on an off-hand comment by someone at Palm, some of people on this board told us that surely the Pre would only run four apps, so it must be my eyes. They couldn't have been wrong, could they? They spoke with such assuredness, they must have known what they were talking about. Didn't they?

RE: Four apps, huh?
I do with these demos were longer. There are OBVIOUSLY more than four 3rd party apps on the device. How can you seriously think otherwise. Go youtube a longer demo videos to see more apps, geniuses!
