Synergy's Next Stop: AOL Mail?
Oh Twitter, how we love your bite-sized information updates, that then require us reporters to come up with some extra padding to fill out a news item. (One sentence down!) So: good news for AOL Mail users! Precentral broke the news yesterday that AOL "desperately" want in on webOS's sweet Synergy action. In order to differentiate ourselves from our hombrew-dealin' brothers, we'll post a different tweet that says exactly the same thing:
A quick scan of Funambol's Community Forge page does not show a listing for any webOS projects as of yet, but that could mean many things. Funambol PR were not willing to comment at this stage. Spokesperson Kim Terca said: "Funambol has an established relationship with Palm and is unable to share any details at this time."

hehehe. when I was researching Partners in Precrime (plug, plug: http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/9704/partners-in-precrime-part-3/) I was surprised how big they still were: AOL Mail is the number-four webmail provider behind Yahoo, MS and Google (in that order IIRC).
Good grief. I had no idea there were so many old grannies online!
