Add Images to Address Book with EyeModule
eyecontact is a new application for the EyeModule Springboard that allows users to add pictures taken with the camera to the Address Book. The app is free and available now.
eyecontact also provides the capability to beam an address – with a thumbnail image attached – to another Palm OS handheld unit with the eyecontact app installed.
"How many times after a business trip or after a big meeting have you wished that you could associate a face with a stack of business cards? Now with the eyemodule and the eyecontact software on a Visor, you can! We think this is one of those 'killer apps' that will make digital photography on handhelds really take off," stated Dennis Boyle, leader of the eyemodule development team at IDEO in Palo Alto.
Reviews of the EyeModule Springboard haven't exactly been glowing. The Gadgeteer's review said, "The actual image quality was disappointing. I found that all the images were blurry, and grainy."
It costs $150 and is available now from PalmGear, Amazon, and other retail stores.
