New Personal Health Software
PDAHealthWare, a new Palm OS software development company focusing on personal health software, has released it's first application, Health Empowerment Tools 1.0. The software allows something for all members of the family, including screening guidelines, medication reminders, and more. It costs $18 and a free 10 day demo is available.
For the woman, it allows menstrual cycle/fertility tracking. Punch in the start/end of a menstrual cycle and it calculates the likely times of ovulation. It allows tracking of pregnancy information, and medication alarms.
In addition, it has preventive care screening guidelines for breast/cervical/colon cancers. After putting in your profile, based on your age and gender it displays the screening tests your doctor should be doing.
For the man, there is screening for colon and testicular cancer. Also, it has an easy way to track doctor appointments and all the other features for women.
Elderly parents can have their entire medical history stored in the program making it easier when going to the hospital. Also, it offers easy-to-set alarms for their medications.
For children, there are guidelines to keep track of vaccinations and allergies.

RE: Incomplete solution
RE: Incomplete solution
I would recommend downloading the Setup.exe file from www.PDAHealthWare.com/demo.htm. The Setup.exe file will load all of the necessary files onto your harddrive and provide a simply icon on your desktop that will install all of the Health Empowerment Tools to your handheld. A link to the user manual and to install the user manual on your handheld (in Isilo format) are also placed on the desktop.
Sincerely,
Sean M. Severson
