RE: note on the Ohfish
To satisfy the requirements of PDA users, Ohfish delivers two types of Tri-band GSM clip-on device. One is working on Palm V/Vx and IBM WorkPad and the other one is compatible with Palm m500/m505.

RE: note on the Ohfish
"Ohfish Communications Inc., a leading provider of wireless GSM communication
devices, will officially announce its tri-band GSM clip-on device on June
26-28 at PC EXPO in New York City. This tri-band device is compatible with
Palm m500/m505."
This is implies only one device, which is compatible only with the m50x. The message as a whole is confusing as a result, but I guess it's possible that they are simultaneously releasing tri-band devices for both the V/Vx and m50x. This would be great, and I look forward to seeing them hit the market. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that it was an incorrect wording, and that the type for the V/Vx is just dual-band.

note on the Ohfish
IMHO, this really bites, and isn't a real smart move on their part. They'd certainly sell a TON more of the things if they made the tri-band for the V/Vx, since there's easily more people with V's than with m50x's.
I've requested repeatedly that they make a tr-band device, and they've always told me that it's in the works or some such double-talk. Now I find that they HAVE made one, but that it's only for the m50x. What's really goofy is that they already had the dual-band for the V, why not just make it into tri-band and sell them?
Would anyone like to venture to guess that Palm, Inc. had struck a deal with Ohfish that essentially made sure that their tr-band device was only for the m50x? Ohfish probably got a bundle of money to help Palm push their new line.
But I'm not bitter. :P
