RE: Quotes
The funny thing is that "Palm Pilot" is used to describe PPC. I have see two shows (one being ER the other I can not remember) Where they refered to a Palm Pilot while showing in iPAQ.

That's just come out of the whole market dominance. It's in the same vein as
"Here's a Xerox of that article"
"ACHOO!"
"Need a Kleenex?"
RE: Quotes
Maybe, Microsoft can file a lawsuit telling people and companies to stop marketing real windows because the software is Windows not the windows as openings to your car/house as it was originally.
WHO GIVES A SH**?

"A representative for Microsoft, which registered Pocketpc.com in March 2000, said he hadn't seen the claim and couldn't comment specifically except to say that Pocket PC is a generic description."
Not quite, considering how Microsoft words their PPC website.
If PPC was just another generic term like PDA, the slogan "Choose the power of windows. Choose the Pocket PC" wouldn't really be MS specific.
In other places on their site this analogy works though. i.e. "Explore the familiar look and feel of Windows Powered Pocket PCs."
key words being "windows powered."
Not that i care either way. I don't believe PPC can be used to describe a Palm device. But it does apply to a MS PPC device fairly well.
