Yes I'm waiting for the m515 too. Looked at the Sony T625 but it's not as good a form factor as the m5xx series and I can do without the hi-res screen, also wheres all the accessories for the Clie ? There are none in the UK, at least I can get all the Palm accessories easily.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THE M515 IS OUT ?!?!?!?!?

One of the other press people says he saw the m515 at PalmSource. A third-party developer had one and was showing it to a few attendees, off the record of course. The news guy said the screen had a brightness adjustment and at full power was much brighter than an m505's. He said the guy who had it told him that, at max brightness, it has a shorter battery life than the m505's. That's also true from the Sony models, I believe. No idea what the battery life is like when the screen brightness is lowered.

The best data I have says March 10.

just a question... what is it with march? Last year the M505 came out 3/19 (which i ordered it, and did not get until May), and this year, new models are also being announced in March. Is this to get them out for the summer months? It just seems like an odd time to release them. Although, if they are planning on releasing an OS5 device later this year, it would be a good idea to get the developed items out on the market as soon as possible.

nategall says "blah!"

I like the T615C but I have a few problems:

1. We run Win95 so I need Serial Cradle.
2. I already bought many m5xx peripherals - 2 Serial Cradles, 2 SD Cards, Stylus, etc.
3. I hate the T615C up/down buttons and the coffee-stir stylus.

Thanks Ed !
I was beginning to think with all this talk of OS5 that the m515 would be cancelled or something ! I hope it launches soon I need to replace my ageing Vx before OS5 and the m515 looks the best replacment - hopefully !

Cheers

All Palm Universal null-modem connectors in March?

I.M. Anonymous @ 2/11/2002 2:15:55 PM #
The Pawgo universal null-modem connector is due in March (http://www.teleadaptusa.com/nme/order_palm_nullmodem.htm) and the Delorme null-modem cable is also due in March. I wonder if there's a delay in getting the connectors...

Also check out http://www.surenet.net/services/hardware/adapters.htm.

Look at the "Bluediamond" null modem adapters 4083 and 4084. They are tiny!
