Developers Move to Support Hi-Res+ Screen (Updated)
Since Sony introduced the NR series, many developers have announced that they will offer versions of their applications that support the 320 by 480 screen with virtual Graffiti.
The latest to do so is Red-Mercury with AcidImage 1.2, which also supports the HandEra 330 hi-res screen and regular monochrome screens, too. AcidImage can view images taken with the NR70V's built-in camera and has other new features. It is $12.
A freeware image viewer with hi-res+ support is Crs-ImageView.
Word Processors and Spreadsheets
Update: Blue Nomad is released a version of WordSmith for the NR series. Essentially, version 2.1.5 is the same as the current version, except the Graffiti area can be hidden.
By now, most people should be aware that iambic's TinySheet 4.2 supports the hi-res+ screen. The company has also released Action Name Datebook 5.2 with support for the 320 by 480 screen.
Rumor has it the next version of Quickoffice will offer hi-res+ support, though Cutting Edge Software won't confirm this.
Launchers
Pocket Sensei is close to releasing a new version of SilverScreen. Its small icon view
allows for over 50 icons to be displayed in hi-res+.
Crs-Launcher is free and YiShow Explorer is shareware.
Games
At this point almost no games have been announced with hi-res+ support.
Stand Alone, Inc. has released a new version of Crossword Puzzles with support for the larger screen.
Etc.
There is a beta of McFile 2.1 with support for the larger screen. It also includes McJPEG, an image viewer.
LinkeSOFT's ScreenShot 1.7 is a system hack that supports taking screen shots of the full hi-res+ screen. So does ScrShot.
Mark/Space's latest version of The Missing Sync allows NR series handhelds to HotSync with Macs.
Naturally, this isn't a list of every single application available or in development with hi-res+ support. It is most of the major ones, though.
Because the NR series has been available longer in Japan than it has in the U.S., many of these applications are available only in Japanese.

Typo Ed?
Huh? Or did you ment to say THIER APPLICATIONS.
RE: Typo Ed?
THIER should actually be THEIR. Don't be so quick to point out a minor mistake next time without double-checking yourself...

RE: Typo Ed?
Many times i come across typos and i'm double minded about letting Ed know since i'm not sure whether he appreciates it. The previous poster made a good point, if the the typo does not bare any significant difference to the conveyed message, sould it be addressed or corrected at all?
However it is pleasing to read an article free from grammatically and spelling errors which in turn makes a professional difference for PIC.

Unbelievable
I just got the latest versions of Acid Image, Wordsmith, Silver Screen and TinySheet. I just can't believe it. I was blown away at what Sony did with the NR70. It is truly wonderful! 320 x 320 in bright, crisp, rich color with a collapsable graffiti area. I'm as excited now as I was the first time I opened the box on my dear old PalmPilot 5000.
Goodbye old graffiti area, you treated me well.
Helloooo full screen apps!
