RE: SplashMoney features
SplashMoney is they
have a nice list of features, but most of them aren't
implimented all the way. The syncing is only one way
with Quicken, the "budgetting" is just a list
of numbers. They don't care about how well the
program is usable. They add just enough "feature" to
add it to the feature list, even if its not very usable.
Landware does it right. If the features listed, its
in there for real, unlike splashmoney. PQ's well worth the extra
few bucks. Try 'em both and see what I mean.
On the other hand, I'm glad to see Avantgo for 5.0
progressing nicely. Now if my local paper will just
join the 21st century and add Avantgo.

RE: SplashMoney features
Why does everyone hold up pocket quicken as "the standard" As a personal checkbook it's very limited! Although I prefer Desktop Quicken(!!!), I currently use Micro$oft Money, because of Ultrasoft Money...THE BEST product of its kind out there IMO. It's what Pocket Quicken aspires to be!!
At any rate, I would switch back to quicken in a second if I could get a similar feature set, and seamless integration that Ultrasoft Money gives me.

New AvantGo Beta
Well I have got used to the previous method which, whilst clunky sometmes (e.g. BBC News site), was workable with one hand. The "new and improved" version does not actually appear to allow any navigation by D-Pad at all beyond back and forward a page plus a scroll within the current page. I cannot figure oput how to get it to move the "target" highlight and hence select new items to open. In this configuration the interface is unsuable for me without the stylus - so what's the point?
Am I missing something?

RE: New AvantGo Beta
Remaping in AvantGo does not interfere with any other button mappings you have made using QLaunch or other button mapping apps. This only applys when you are actually using AvantGo.

RE: New AvantGo Beta
I find using the button assignment actually better than before, as I found it so hard to just do normal scrolling with the up down buttons. Still has some refinement needing done but going in the right direction. Would be good if they changed the Hi-res font to bold, as it's pretty small on some pages.

SplashMoney features
When will Landware's Pocket Quicken incorporate these features? PQ is starting to fall behind, IMHO.
