CorePlayer Update Coming Later This Month
MobileRead have posted a news item regarding an upcoming update to the CorePlayer portable media application. This update has been several months in the making and is eagerly awaited by the CorePlayer community. While details are still sparse at this point, the primary new features such as the CoreTheque database addition and other improvements can be found within the CoreCodec forums.
In short, beginning on May 14th, CoreCodec will begin releasing new versions of the app for one platform at a time. The various Windows-powered mobile OSes will be the first new CorePlayer releases with the Palm OS version to be released thereafter. Symbian devices will be the final recipients of the new CorePlayer.
Additionally, a "live" downloadable update will come onboard with version 1.4. This eagerly awaited feature is something CorePlayer's primary competitors such as PocketTunes and Kinoma have had for some time.
CorePlayer has a long and illustrious history as the formerly free TCPMP media application. TCPMP was originally the brainchild of ace programmer Gabor Kovacs (AKA Picard) who ported his Betaplayer Windows Mobile/PPC media app to Palm OS under the guise of TCPMP. While the free TCPMP player has been discontinued, it lives on the commercial CorePlayer. You can read more about the app in our CorePlayer review.

RE: Will it stop crashing?
There's always TCPMP on the 650 which rarely crashed on me. If you paid for coreplayer and it is known to not work right on the 650 then perhaps they should refund your $$$$
RE: Will it stop crashing?
I wouldn't ask for my money back, 'cause I'm very happy with the program otherwise.
Yet another slipped release date!
